20 week outpatient pediatric clinical rotation where I participated in evaluations and treatment of multiple pediatric diagnoses, aquatic therapy, and early intervention treatments in the patients home. Presented in-service on pediatric concussions. Followed PT's parameters to set up TENS as a trail to reduce his upper extremity spasticity. 8 week clinical rotation where I evaluated and treated in multiple units of the hospital including intensive care unit (ICU), step down cardiac unit, observation, and post-surgical floor. Worked on an interdisciplinary team to treat patients with neurological, cardiopulmonary, and musculoskeletal diagnoses. Assisted in presenting in-service to ER and outpatient surgical nurses on proper fitting for crutches. I participated in evaluations and treatment of acute and chronic neurologic conditions include stroke, SCI, MS, post-polio, PD, and post-surgical patients. Learned basic Italian phrases in order to complete treatment sessions with limited translation.
