I am an enthusiastic, passionate Home Insurance Underwriter assisting Brokers and my colleagues with underwriting, pre-renewals and the most common telephone referrals. My main duties are dealing with the technical mailbox. This would include working closely with loss adjusters and claim handlers for referral cases that have been referred from the Crime Fraud Unit for policies that have concerns around non disclosure, voidance and fraud issues. The procedure would be to investigate their concerns and then recommending the correct underwriting procedures. I also give day to day support to my colleagues with walk over assists and telephone referrals for queries outside their license limits this would also include help with system queries and underwriting complaints from brokers. I also assist with home reviews to ensure the correct premium is being offered for the risk and that the appropriate terms are applied. I also have gained experience and skills in FNOL claims. Efficiently and accurately registering new home claims as the first point of contact between the customer and the company. Logging claims whilst demonstrating a detailed knowledge of insurance and insurance processes.
