      As the Manager of Educational Television and Video Production for Waubonsee Community College I was responsible for managing staff, interns, federal work study, and students. I created and implemented station policies and procedures, created and submitted FCC reports for W40CN-D, oversaw station and facility systems, and served as investigator for any operational discrepancies.Additional responsibilities include producing live television events, internal video projects, classroom support, instructional videos, technology consultation and content creation for the Waubonsee cable and broadcast channels. I was the digital asset manager for the video on demand servers and video streaming servers. I also served as the key decision maker for technology integration for the television studio and production facility.During my employment at Waubonsee Community College as manager I expanded facility technologies to perform multiple camera high definition studio productions, expanded mobile television studio production to high definition multiple camera productions, developed processes & standards to allow for live broadcasting of sports, special events and emergency notifications.I also developed and instructed various courses for the Waubonsee Mass Communication curriculum. These courses include Introduction to Documentary Film and Introduction to Media Technology. In August of 2012 my facility received the Alliance for Community Media award for Overall Excellence in Educational Television. Show less
