Charlie Kimmitt is an outstanding lawyer. He is exceptionally resourceful and I would recommend him for any legal purpose or effort. Working with him on a case led to my being extremely impressed, not just with his skills, but with his integrity, both as a person and as a professional. The best, particularly if you need an attorney for complex litigation. Absolutely one of the best at discovery you'll be able to find.
Jonathan Jacobs
Charley is an outstanding attorney. As merely one example, I watched Charley successfully convince a federal judge to order NY Times columnist Nick Kristof to reveal confidential sources for several op-ed pieces Kristof had written - despite various shield laws protecting reporters from having to do so (Hatfill v. NYTimes). Charley knew New York's shield law would sink the case; so he argued Virginia law applied, even though Kristof worked for a New York newspaper and wrote the columns in New York. Charley won. Plenty of lawyers, like Charley, went to good law schools and work in prestigious firms. But very few are creative enough to figure out how the client can win, even when the law isn't on your side. And as an added bonus, Charley is wicked funny. It never hurts to do business with people who are easy to be around.
