After going through over 40 hours of training on all aspects of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, I volunteer my time to the Hospital Response Team. With this, I am on call to go to the hospital and be a support to a victim who is having an exam after being assaulted. I provide the victim resources and options after the exam is complete. I provide moral support during a time when the victim can feel very vulnerable. This is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done and will continue to volunteer my time to this amazing organization.

Working within the guidelines of the Federal Tax Credit program, I am able to provide housing to those who wouldn't otherwise be able to have a roof over their heads. I was the liaison between Bellingham Police Department and the property to apprehend and fish out gang members and drug dealers to create a safe environment for all the tenants. I also partnered with community organizations in working with high risk tenants and those trying to overcome past rental and criminal issues to obtain housing. I did all final approvals at the property level for move-in and recertification (income/asset verification) calculations for 228 units on the property before sending them to the corporate compliance officer. Leased apartments when leasing agent was not there. Managed the property as needed when Property Manager was absent.
