  Since 2013 I've been freelancing mainly as a Sound Engineer, working at a variety of events from small, intimate music venues (such as Talking Heads, Southampton) to large scale music festivals and events (such as Bestival and Common People Festival). I'll be continuing in a self-employed/freelance role for the foreseeable future after completing my degree in May 2016, with a view to working full time as a sound technician of any specific role. The Talking Heads

  In my final year of studying at Solent I have been visiting the Talking Heads as a covering engineer on a number of occasions. The role is all the same as a regular in-house engineer, from helping bands load in, to dealing with technical riders and guest engineers, and mixing both FoH and Mons for the duration of the night. The Heads is a really nice venue with a great team of staff behind it, I'd thoroughly recommend it as a tour stop for any band visiting near the Solent (this is not a fixed term employment role).

  The Solent Live Events Society is a student-run extra-curricular society which aims to provide students the opportunity to work as an audio/lighting technician with no prior experience required during their time studying at Solent. My role as VP involved organising and running the society's regular events at the Firehouse (Southampton) as well as organising the purchase of equipment (Soundcraft Si Impact, Van Damme cable) and leading equipment training/familiarity days.   Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts is a concert hall attached to my old secondary school in South London. This is an extremely important venue to me as it's where I really found a passion in working with audio in entertainment (it's also a great place to work!).
