I provide support to young people (aged 5-18) who take on the role of an unpaid carer. These young people provide various levels of physical and emotional care for loved ones, usually parents and or siblings. The support package Gaddum offers is up to 12 1:1 sessions and invites to groups and events. I manage a caseload of around 16 young people. My day-to-day work includes delivering the 1:1 sessions using a person-centred approach, the sessions are a mixture of playing games, talking through worries and signposting for other services. My other duties include assisting in the smooth running of any groups and trips and attending regular team meetings and training. Show less
