  My responsibilities were to take care and organize specimen blocks, as well as the stained slides that we stored on site. I was to keep the supplies stocked and work areas clean. Whilst keeping on top of the emailed orders, pulling specified blocks by their case numbers for the Tech specialist to set up controls in order to have the necessary tests completed. I took care to remove the specimen cossets out of the processors to write up the case numbers by sites before storing them into the embedding stations warm wells. I would also be sure to clean the paraffin off the embedded blocks and keep them in an ordered fashion placed on a cart by our drivers and site pickup times. Show less
