As the first Centre of Excellence of WFP in Africa, the Regional Centre of Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition (CERFAM) supports and leverages efforts to achieve Zero Hunger, while responding to national Governments and regional institutions’ growing demands for capacity strengthening, technical expertise, knowledge sharing as well as South-South Cooperation.• Liaise with WFP’s country offices and partner organisations to identify best practices and lessons learnt in development of value chain, women empowerment, youth employment and community resilience in Africa. • Facilitate South-South Co-operation by coordinating technical assistance for countries in Africa and WFP country offices.• Support the identification and engagement of qualified strategic key partners for research, technical assistance and advocacy in food security and nutrition.• Conduct research and data analysis on food security and nutrition in Africa• Develop a methodology to identify, select and document good practices by conducting desk review on existing knowledge exchange initiatives. • Establish a Knowledge Exchange Platform to facilitate documentation of good practices, technical assistance and interactive discussions among stakeholders, monitor and evaluate CERFAM's assistance to stakeholders and contribution to Sustainable Development Goals. • Provide inputs to strategic planning of CERFAM and South-South Cooperation Strategy• Support events and activities organised by CERFAM, including workshops in agricultural exhibition and expert and diplomatic visits.
