Develop M&E plans and monitor and evaluate projects, present program reports to the Board, senior management, donors and key stakeholders. Annually, reviewed and selected 10 - 15 project proposals for BTFEC’s grant making. Communicated and coordinated with the World Bank, Global Environmental Facility, Royal Government of Bhutan and UN agencies for implementation of GEF (Global Environment Facility) supported projects. Significant accomplishments include: Initiated and Led the evaluation of 15 years of BTFEC’s grant making and defined future road map. Garnered support of US$ 4.08 million from the GEF to make BTFEC the national implementing agency for GEF. Initiated the development of the Second Strategic Plan for BTFEC. Increased program portfolio from 5 projects to more than 20 projects per year. Mobilized more than US$ 11 million as co-funding from ADB, Blue Moon, UNDP and GEF. Identified organizational issues and instituted best practices such as fortnightly information sharing meeting, conflict resolution forum, capacity need assessment, monthly target setting exercise, informal gathering to improve communication and teambuilding. Bolstered BTFEC’s image nationally by instituting semi-annual stakeholder workshops and internationally by initiating membership with IUCN. During this workshops communicated BTFEC grant making and shared information. Started the BTFEC paid Internship program for young graduates (national & international). Charted the process of enhancing BTFEC governance and managed to get equal Board representation from Non-governmental sector.
