Responsible for all communications activities for the European Theatre Convention (ETC), the largest network of publicly-funded theatres in Europe. ETC has 55 member theatres from 30 countries, ranging from experimental laboratory theatres in Ukraine to national theatres in Norway, Portugal, Italy, Malta and Romania. Main responsibilities include: - Designing the Communication Strategy for ETC. ETC coordinates 20+ separate 'activities' for member theatres, which include cross-border artistic collaborations, professional development programmes, and political advocacy. One such 'activity', Renaissance, brought together 22 theatres and 250 artists from 18 countries to create short theatre films about and during the COVID-19 pandemic. It reached 140,000 people through coordinated social media work and partnerships with 3 festivals. - Leading and developing the Communication Strategy for large-scale European projects in which ETC is a key partner. This includes STAGES - Sustainable Theatre Alliance for a Green Environmental Shift, a large-scale sustainable theatre project with 14 partners in theatre and academia from Europe and Asia, which received 2 million euros co-funding from the European Union. Responsible for the STAGES website, social media channels and press relations. - Press relations. Features, reviews, profiles and news stories secured in The Financial Times, La Repubblica, Visao, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Le Soir, The New York Times, The Stage, nachtkritik - Moderating theatre panel events and representing ETC at panel discussions and industry events. Recent panel moderation on diversity in youth theatre, and talks on digitalisation and theatre in times of conflict - Maintaining ETC websites and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) - Speech writing for ETC Executive Director Heidi Wiley at major events in Taiwan, Belgium, Austria - Translation at industry events Spanish > English Show less
