It's hard to put into words how great it was working with this regal gem of a human being, but I'm going to attempt to do so here. Chris has natural design talent, endless curiosity, impeccable taste and a stubbornly strong work ethic. When I was the newbie at a fast-paced agency, he was the first person anyone would ask for advice, and also the first person you would ask to grab a tasty beer. He is talented, approachable, and a great leader. I wouldn't be where I am today if Chris wasn't constantly willing to impart his wisdom upon me. He was the best test subject I could have ever asked for, and was always willing to participate in any type of product / design experimentation. Chris's greatest strength, in my opinion, is that he is straightforward and self aware. If he suggests a solution to your problem and it doesn't work, he won't force it. He will say, "Well dang, that's more disappointing than non-alcoholic beer. Let's delete this and pretend it never happened." That said, Chris always had good solutions for 99% of our problems. In fact, he would often give several good solutions, and leave it to the team to pick the best solution of the bunch. While Chris is not (and has never claimed to be) an art director, his taste level sets him apart from other product designers. Artistic style is subjective, but I always found Chris's aesthetic to be expensive, minimalist, timeless, and clean. Taste is something that I believe people are born with. Taste cannot be learned, and Chris has it. I would give Chris the highest recommendation to any position that requires technical savvy, a strong work ethic, and an enjoyable culture. Also, he has a dog, so you know you can trust him. If you ever have the privilege to work with him, you should consider yourself lucky.

Chris is a talented design professional with a real passion and commitment to solving problems. He creates smart design solutions that are always grounded in logic and research. He is an advocate for user-centered design principles, and he has a natural fluency for applying design and logic to complex interfaces. He is a passionate collaborator, willing to stand up for what he believes is the right solution to achieve both business and project objectives.. He’s a well rounded creative person, a leader in waiting and a value to any team fortunate enough to have him.

I was responsible for researching, interviewing, and selecting an outside development team to institute the newly designed system. I acted as the main point of contact between the decision-makers at NES and the developers, to ensure everything in the project ran smoothly and efficiently. The new front end website for NES helped to better convey their quality services across all digital outlets, and was set up to promote better quality on page SEO. In addition, the creation of a backend CMS was integral to improving the business operations, for internal employees to manage client documents, contracts, invoices, and training materials. During this project I also advised on native and external advertising, search engine optimization, and all communication and marketing materials. I worked to ensure that all sales efforts are well supported, and that all internal operations are smooth and efficient.
