Chris is a highly talented engineer whose positive impact stretched beyond the scope of our team. His willingness and interest in taking initiative was un-matched. He regularly introduced the team to new strategies that improved our tooling, infrastructure, and our overall productivity. And his ideas for moving the platform and features forward proved transformative. Chris spearheaded the creation of our component library and had it built out in a surprisingly short period of time, all while leading the build out of our highest priority features. While incredibly productive, Chris was simultaneously highly collaborative. The breadth of his communications spanned across the company and to all levels of the organization. While fully engaged in code reviews, the design process, architectural discussions, and coding, he always remained available and communicative on Slack, email, and for 1 on 1s. I learned a lot from working with Chris, and would welcome the opportunity to do so again.

I've had the chance to work with Chris on a few different projects and each time he's been awesome to work with. He's super receptive to feedback, will jump in and volunteer when folks need help and is a genuinely nice person. Most recently Chris setup some really nice visualizations to help us understand how COVID-19 was progressing county by county with d3. They included trends by day when you hovered over each county. In the past, Chris has done a lot of other really cool projects. My favorite was one that helped visualize customer interactions with Kabbage. It provided a visual for each touchpoint a customer had along with more information about what that touchpoint was. Did you take a loan, did you open an email, did you call customer service? All of that was in an easy to digest timeline that make it much less daunting to understand the customer's journey at a glance. Chris would make a fantastic addition to any team and we're lucky to have him.
