William Krug
Chris worked for me over 15 years ago. He was and is one of kind. I had to fight like heck to get his manager to release him to me because he was just too good to let go. His ability to consume, digest, understand, and apply what he learns to technology is unique and outstanding. He is one of the special people you meet in life that is simply great at everything he does from music to work to everyday conversation. He is not just extremely intelligent, he is uniquely intelligent, but at the same time very real, very down to earth, and very determined to excel at everything he does. And he does excel at everything. Chris is without exception the cream of the crop.
Jake Freivald
Chris is really, really sharp: analytical in mind, direct in demeanor, and broad in scope. He most obvious effect on our company has been search engine optimization, which he knows cold. He has been the single most important driver in putting Information Builders and iWay Software at the top of important searches. And I don't mean that he has a substantial budget that he can blow on obvious keywords. He manages his budget well, justifying his expenditures by creating specific and measurable programs that capture well-targeted leads, experimenting effectively, and modifying his campaigns based on empirical results. He has been very effective in similar ways to help steer email marketing and other Internet-based operations. And if I ever have a crazy idea that I want to think about, even if it's not Internet-related, I'll bounce it off of him to be sure that it gets a rigorous looking-over. My biggest concern in recommending him is that someone will steal him away. Seriously.
