Bio
Gerald (Gerry) Cowart, FAIA
Christopher, Was a student in my Architecture Design Studio at the Savannah Collage of art and Design. I found him to be studious and hard working. Anxious to research new areas and develop new skills.
Trey Reckling
Christopher joined the United Student Forum at SCAD as the bicycle safety representative and that is how we became acquainted. United Student Forum is a select group of students selected to represent the student body and address a variety of concerns and I am their adviser. It was quite fortuitous timing because the University president had recently put much support behind the University building it's bicycle safety efforts to foster a more healthy community and reduce accidents. We needed a ringer, someone who would be mature enough to understand the importance of this project and someone committed enough to stick with it to completion. Christopher was the right person for the job, to be sure. He is mature, committed, very easy to communicate with and is a pleasure to work with both because his listening skills and maturity. He does not bring stress into a situation but, rather, is a very grounded and self aware person that helped provide a nice emotional anchor to our meetings and to his peers. Because I am not on faculty but rather staff, I cannot speak about Christopher's work in the classroom but rather of his people skills and dedication for the cause he has committed to. Any person with management experience can appreciate how invaluable this is on a team. He brought a great deal to the table in this way. The inherent power that this brings him in a group setting he uses responsibly and for the good of the group and the organization. I would not hesitate to have Christopher on any team that I am working with. He is a quality employee, an empathetic listener and he works hard. I simply hope that he will have the opportunity to work with people who appreciate him and make the most of the many skills he can bring to a working environment.
