After getting to know Chris while working on different teams at Laika, I was looking forward to working with him again and it came about on a pair of recent film projects at Bent Image Lab. This time directly. Chris quickly adapted to Bent's pipeline and was able to produce under the short deadline pressure. The project had some roto heavy shots that Chris helped take on without flinching, and he delivered flawless mattes. He is very comfortable in Silhouette and handled the curveballs of working at 4k within After Effects stress free. He's clearly eager to develop his artistic chops and advance in the industry, as he was seeking out and soaking up new techniques like a sponge. He's also clearly adept on the 3D side of the coin; I was able to get a glimpse of his modeling work firsthand. As he continues to push himself and gain experience, he'll be a valuable member of your crew for sure!

To whom it may concern: I have known Chris Myerchin as a colleague and peer from 2004 - Present. We both attended and graduated from the Art Institute together and worked together at LAIKA and Rhythm and Hues. As a student Chris was diligent and always willing to help his peers in the computer labs with questions. He did well in group projects and individual assignments. As a Colleague Chris did an excellent job and was an asset to both studios. He has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, can work independently, and is able to effectively multi-task to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner. Chris was always willing to offer his assistance and had an excellent rapport with his peers and supervisors. He would be an asset to any employer and I can recommend him for any endeavor he chooses to pursue without hesitation or reserve. Sincerely yours, Daniel Raffel
