The Oakland Unified School District serves as the Host LEA for the Peralta Community College region, which includes its 4 colleges, and its feeder K-12 districts: Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, and Piedmont Unified School Districts. As the K12 Pathway Coordinator, I will seek to improve the performance of all high school-community college CTE programs by supporting and aligning their efforts, engaging with the regional industry and workforce development stakeholders, providing technical assistance to inform the development of high-quality CTE curriculum, informing the expansion of college and career exploration and work-based learning activities, supporting the intersegmental work needed to enable students’ post-secondary transition, and encouraging the use of data to improve CTE pathways.
