  Weston Aluminium operates a Resource Recovery at Kurri Kurri, NSW, traditionally reprocessing and detoxifying Aluminium Smelter By-Products, and manufacturing aluminium deoxidants for the steelmaking sector. As Plant Manager, I was responsible for leading health & safety performance, overall management of the operation, including production, human resources, procurement contracts, environmental compliance and budget expenditure, as well as contributing to the company's strategy vision in conjunction with the Board of Directors.

  The Alternative Materials Division of Weston Aluminium Pty Limited was established in 2007 to actively identify and pursue opportunities for the remanufacture, beneficiation and sale of various process by-products to the steel and cement-manufacturing industries for use as alternative materials. As Alternative Materials & Environment Manager, I was responsible for the facility's environmental compliance, and for ‘closing the loop’ on by-product generation, ultimately diverting all by-product material from landfill and into viable, sustainable reuse markets.
