Obtained building permits, procured materials and equipment; oversaw construction process to verify that the work produced was in accordance with plans, specifications and client expectations. Developed and implemented new policies, forms and procedures for sales and design department interaction including systems for the design, estimating, purchasing and scheduling; trained both departments on systems, policies and procedures. Results: Created functionality across departments; developed well trained team players receptive to company growth and an increased work load. Calculated and implemented new labor and material estimates to achieve accuracy for active plans. Calculated all material quantities; input new data and confirmed accuracy through weekly field visits. Results: Completed project in record time; decreased base cost of each home by $2500 and decreased extra material orders by $3500 per home; increased gross profit over 20%. Spearheaded the installation of a centralized computer network for entire company for: Sales, scheduling, purchasing, estimating, client management and business operations. Results: Successfully implemented functioning computer network system for the company. Enlisted Paulsen Development into a federal government’s Energy Star Program as an approved builder. Results: Helped improve sales by 5%. Spearheaded a mailing campaign aimed at questioning vendors, subcontractors and clients to evaluate company performance as viewed from outside sources.
