I had the great privilege of working with Chris for over three years, as not just a co-worker, but a creative partner. He is the most passionate, creative and versatile copywriter I have ever had the opportunity to work with. He is quite possibly the easiest person on the planet to get along with, and on top of that is very collaborative. This makes him an invaluable partner. The scale of his physical stature is quite imposing, but he balances that out with an ant-sized ego. He wears all writing hats with ease, but is always ready to stretch himself beyond his role to make up where others are lacking. He makes the members of any team he is on better, and readily shares the credit with all. Despite his constant exuberance and his easy going demeanor, he is also quite vigilant to his craft. He is a faithful soldier in the war on unnecessary hyphenation, and will hate the fact that I double-spaced this entire note. He adapts to different mediums and clients like a Transformer, and draws upon a vast and entertaining life experience to write with a timeless quality. Always trend-aware, but with a deeper depth and maturity. I can’t recommend Chris enough. He has a great midwestern work ethic, an attractive midwestern body, and enough interests and stories to share for hours. If you are considering hiring Chris, I’d lock that down.

Chris showed an incredible range while working at Solve...writing great copy for clients as diverse as Bentley, Founders Brewing and Organic Valley, executing across traditional and non-traditional platforms, above and below the line. He has the rare ability to truly get inside the head of a consumer and develop effective, highly-compelling content. Chris is a true creative soul. His sensitivity, passion for pop culture, collaborative spirit, positive attitude and strong work ethic made him a valuable member of the agency.

My time at Hot Dish helped me hone my skills as a budding copywriter. I was able to work on many different types of projects on many different platforms. I received my first professional experience writing for print, radio, websites and TV. This is where I learned to find the confidence to present ideas to our clients. I was the copywriter for the ModC1 Agency, which was a mini agency within the walls of Modern Climate. I was there to be as creative as possible. I learned more in my three months there than a year in school. I would recommend a Modern Climate internship to any newcomers out there who have passion for this business.
