During my 5 years at Lockheed I worked on a variety of projects ranging from engineering use only (EUO) prototyping to production line support. During EUO efforts, I have worked from systems level documentation as a guideline and I have worked along side systems engineers to develop requirements as the circuit card developed. Walking the project from schematic capture, through circuit analysis and circuit layout all the way to hardware/housing design, I have had experience in the whole hardware design process. I have had a lot of hands on lab experience during the EUO process as well. After I designed the boards I would order all the parts and either install all the parts myself or arrange for our SMT line to install all parts on the boards. After I received populated boards back, I have done extensive bench top testing of the circuit cards. From initial power ups, to extensive troubleshooting, to full RF testing, I have experience setting up and preforming full test suites.I have worked through an Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase on a program. My role was to insure proper manufacturing and testing of a transceiver (XCVR) circuit card. I worked with the manufacturing floor to ensure proper assembly and I worked along side Test Engineering to ensure proper testing of the card. I would asses failures during test to determine whether or not they were, XCVR card related or test set related. After working on the production line, I was the Principle Investigator for leading a team in the design and implementation on the next generation XCVR for the program. This required balancing lessons learned from the low rate production line, and cost models set forth by the program to make sure I was implementing a XCVR that would fix major issues but also keep on schedule and cost for the future production line.
