I took time away from my career to volunteer for Katrina right after the event to care for the Katrina victims at the Austin Convention center. The convention center was a small city and was organized as such. We implemented waste systems, entertainment programming, it solutions, relocation databases but ultimately where there to care for the victims and ultimately find them new housing.
