Marketing and Social Secretary
-
Sep 2012 - May 2014
Marketing and Social Secretary for Volunteering In Portsmouth (VIP) was a very rewarding role, which greatly improved as well as added to my social and business skills. Whilst in this role the society received a number of awards, such as the largest increase in memberships as well and the Portsmouth Community award for the most fund raising and benefits given to the local area. The specifics of my position were: - Advertising events within our society, to attract new members and achieve the full potential of our events in terms of raising money and helping the local community. - Aiding other committee members to alleviate work loads and assure that we work as a team and to our full potential. - Organising focus groups with members to test potential new events and gain a team generated idea with the greatest potential for success. - Organising social events to increase group integration and allow for increased interaction between all areas of the society. - Maintaining the social media area of our society, sending out a monthly newsletter to highlight the societies successes.
