  The Jack Petchey Foundation delivers celebratory events to recognise the achievement and success of young people.   I currently command 282 (East Ham) Squadron RAF Air Cadets, situated in the East End of London. Leading a staff team of 15 people with nearly 100 young adults attending the unit, I lead one of the most diverse and challenging units in the United Kingdom. I have been a volunteer member of the Air Training Corps working with young people within East London area since January 2004. I have had many roles whilst being a volunteer with the organisation, including running sporting events and constructing rigorous training programmes.   I joined Marshall Aerospace in September 2006, completing my apprenticeship in airframe fitting. During this time I worked heavy maintenance checks, short turnaround and AOG support working away from base. I gained valuable experience and skills in all aircraft areas, particularly structures, power plant, flying control systems (breakdown, rebuild and rigging), hydraulic systems and pressurisation/environmental control systems.
