Implemented a successful 5S program that led to a 50% improvement in housekeeping and organization, improved material flow and reduced waste throughout the organization. Implemented a successful TPM program that reduced OEE by 25% and ultimately downtime of critical equipment. Developed Value Stream Maps for all major product families to identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitated many Lean Kaizen activities that helped reduce waste in the processes, such as Set-up Reduction, Flow, 5S, Cell Design, Batch Reduction and Visual Management. Created Quality Improvement Teams within all departments which reduced defects by 50% by carrying out systematic Root Cause and Corrective Action. Coordinated all Plant Layout activity to ensure good flow of product within the manufacturing processes. Initiated and facilitated a Lean certification program throughout the Chicago organization and helped create an orientation program for new employees.
