Chris is a brilliant product strategist and marketing associate that has successfully led many projects. He is a strong communicator, incredibly emphatic, and a decisive leader. Often going above and beyond to meet expectations, he is also very reliable and one of the hardest working people I've ever met. To whom it may concern, I had the pleasure of working with Chris Melendez on the Trusted Tester Program Team at Google Via Artech as a Product Strategist. When I first started working with Chris, it was apparent he had a strong understanding of logical thinking. He could take a step back from the problem at hand, assess what he was seeing, and then start placing together a solution to the problem. We would often chat about issues we were having on projects, how to better the workflow, or even how we could better ourselves as teammates. With each chat, I would walk away with a better view of the problem and what my options were to fix it. With these chats, I understood that Chris had the logical thinking to get a project done, do well, and not leave others behind. He also understood people and had a firm grasp of empathy. Yes, he could see a problem and come back with a well thought out plan and present it to others, but he would still have an open mind and listen to others. That is wonderful to have in a teammate. Chris showed he had a passion for the projects and how much he cared for the people he worked with by constantly looking for answers to questions, but also wanting to hear feedback from teammates. It is this great combination between his logical thinking and empathy, all mixed with his drive to get a project finished, and finished right, that makes him nothing short of a wonderful teammate and a fantastic employee.
