Merged a Berlin and a Zurich based engineering team that had spent years working in the same problem space and had invested in different approaches, which led to considerable tension in the early stages of the integration. Under my leadership the merged team set common goals, developed a strong common vision for achieving these goals, and agreed on common ways of working. Today the team is healthy and productive, has delivered the first common vision, and is excited to repeat the process and develop the next vision together. The acquisition itself was the outcome of multiple assessments of possible acquisition targets I had conducted over several years. It was triggered after a second member of the Size & Fit Leadership team and I gave a positive assessment of the Zurich team.

Berlin Area, Germany Driving a long-term R&D project aimed at creating photorealistic images of arbitrary garments on arbitrary bodies. We 3D scan garments, reconstruct the sewing patterns they are composed of, run a numerical simulation we built from scratch on the fabric to determine how it drapes around the target body, and render photorealistic images. We visualize areas of tightness/looseness to help customers choose the fit they want before placing the order.

Part of my responsibilities was to establish software lifecycle and quality assurance processes according to IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 norms in order to assure software quality at a very high grade, as is fundamental for medical device software.
