  A diamond mine in Lesotho (Letseng) has a conveyer belt that has several components obscured by a concrete structure supporting the crusher feeding this conveyer belt. The obstruction makes it difficult to perform routine maintenance on the conveyer belt. There is a need for a mechanism that will enable the conveyer belt system to be moved from beneath the concrete structure to a location that will facilitate routine maintenance. Mr Andre du Toit supplied me with the problem statement where after I generated several feasible concepts for a possible solution. I then completed a detailed design with manufacturing drawings for a mechanism that will enable technicians to lift the conveyer belt system onto wheels that will ride on existing train/crane tracks beneath the conveyer belt system.

  A physiotherapist had the need for an automatic ball launcher to aid in the rehabilitation and strengthening of patients. I received the problem statement from Mickey Scheepers and developed several concepts where after Mr Scheepers chose one that he judged as the best available solution. I completed a detailed design on this concept. I was responsible for procurement of the necessary parts to manufacture the prototype as well as the manufacturing of the prototype.

Work includes:The design, manufacturing, and installation of • several steel/IBR carports. • sliding gates for driveways. (electric gates)• burglar proofing such as burglar bars and security gates.• barn style wood and steel doors for interior purposes (Kitchens, bathrooms sculleries, etc.)• motorcycle brackets to support travel cases.
