I have known David for 5 years and during that time I have worked with, and for him. David owns a Christmas Decorators business that I have had the pleasure of working for, for 4 years. The business would not be as successful as it is, if it was not for David's excellent grasp of, and management of all aspects of the business and its project requirements. Having come from a management background myself, I can appreciate just how hard David works to secure both private residential clients and commercial contracts that grow year on year. Many of his clients return every year, entrusting him to deliver a Christmas experience for both his residential clients and their families, and the owners and staff of his commercial clients. This in itself is a testament to his skills and experience in communications and logistics, as well as underlining his ability to interpret the scope of work, deliver quotations that are well received, manage budgets and secure the resources needed to deliver the projects and direct them. David cannot be at every installation as the time constraints often result in multiple jobs needing to be installed at the same time and due to the high demand for installations across a large area, but his ability to ensure that he has the right talent to assist him. David has a great ability to simultaneously carry out complex and challenging installations, directing his staff, whilst at the same time remotely monitor and manage others teams installing customer requirements elsewhere. I have witnessed first hand, Davids ability to mange risk, stock, resources and very demanding installation schedules, often with frustrating last minute changes from clients or challenges resulting from weather constraints. On top of all this, many installations have to be carried out at night time when shopping malls have closed and staff/customers have gone home. David is very generous with his time and has often been available both in person or on the phone regardless of the time of day or night to ensure that questions and challenges faced by the installation teams are not halted in their work. The installations vary from a simple tree in a lounge, to high level external installations requiring an ability to think outside the box to overcome some technical challenges. David is always extremely eager to please his clients and keep his team motivated and focusing on the job in hand. Health & safety are always a primary focus of David when planning and implementing an installation. The smile on clients faces and their children, as well as staff moral when they arrive at work the next day to find their environments transformed, is beyond words. David delivers all of this.
