Manifesting Soil2Soul under the stewardship of Christine McDougall As one of the Soil2Soul team, I so deeply relish the day we met Christine McDougall and the unfolding journey that has resulted. We have a Big Dream about agriculture – a disruptive model that wishes to honour the land, the people who work intimately with her and the variety of commodities that interaction can produce. To be a regenerative participant with Mother Nature. Christine has always seen our dream and in bigger and bolder ways that we had envisioned. She has held the space for us as we have grown and learned and continue to do so. We recently spent a day on an Integral Accounting audit on Soil2Soul. It was a powerful and beautiful experience for each of us. Through the Integral Lens and with Christine’s skills we each had some deeply altering insights into the water in which we were swimming and how that it biasing and limiting our perspectives and choices. From that place we are open to what is already in the ecosystem to support us rather than focusing on what we don't have. Previously we have handed so much power to that missing thing ( yes, like many people it was money!) believing that would help solve the problem. I had thought we were aware of that and had refocused. But subtly time and money had been there sitting on our shoulders limiting our perspectives and keeping us revolving in circles that were of the ilk of harder, smarter, faster. None of which are truly sustainable. Christine’s presence and skilful facilitation helped us lift the lid on those still hidden issues and I truly sense Soil2Soul is now is a place where real transformation and cocreation can occur. Hats off and deepest gratitude to Christine and to the amazing chain of events that placed us in connection with each a couple of years ago. Nikki Thompson Soil2Soul.

Capitalism is broken We have handed over democracy to plutocracy and corporatism The people and organisations who have created the problem want to be the ones who solve it, which is like having the arsonist become the firefighter The Earth is screaming from our abuse We are short term focused when we might consider the 100 year plan for enterprise and the increased wellbeing of all of humanity Yet, people long to come together and work on projects and enterprises that have a deep purpose and a thoughtful consideration of the long term consequences, enterprises that enable 100% success of all of humanity, without ecological offence or the disadvantage of anyone. And they want to be able to bring their brilliance to their work, and have it be acknowledged respectfully. But how to do this in a system deigned to create the opposite? My work is with those bold few leaders and people who know we can create a different world. Steward leaders who are building new models, who refuse to compromise on the most important purpose we have. To leave the world better for our children. To restore dignity, respect and the best of humanity to the work place. To consider the whole, and the future, and to enable profit in all domains without extraction or extinction. Some call me naive. Or idealistic. If this is not what we are aspiring to in enterprise, in innovation, in organisations and in government then our aspirations are bankrupt. Show less
