I love working with Christine. She is a gifted, successful fundraiser with a keen ability to cultivate and grow lasting, fruitful relationships with her donors. This gift, coupled with great communication and research skills, strengthens our ability to work together to create strong proposals to corporations and foundations to fund the mission of the American Red Cross. I learn from her every time we work together and have the highest regard for her.

The foundation of Christine's strong leadership skills lies in her willingness to work harder than what she expects from those reporting to her. She is one of the most organized people I've ever known, with an eye to every last detail. Christine is an inspiration.

Botanical painting. Currently working on Drake's Florilegium. Each wildflower illustrated in the florilegium is found on the 20-acre property in the Shenandoah Valley my husband and I call home. It is a remarkable ecology, the web of plants and animals a constant source of fascination. Symbiotic relationships help each partner to survive and grow. The wildflower is a residence, a source of food, protection from predators. In return an insect pollinates, a spider’s web strengthens, and a bird eats injurious insects. The primary resource is Wildflowers of the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Valley, Oscar W. Gupton and Fred C. Swope, University Press of Virginia, 1979. Historical influences are Mark Catesby and Alexander Marshal.
