International nursing student

Jul 2019 - Jul 2019
Spending 4 weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland as an international exchange student and enrolled in Edinburgh Napier University for orientation. I participated in the practical sessions of efficient moving & patient handling and prevention & management of aggression and violence. From the aggression session, I learnt the hand skills for how to avoid an aggressive person in a hospital. I spent 3 weeks working in Ward 8 Haematology Ward and Unit to assist staff nurses with 4-13 patients load. Immersed in new or alternative organisational cultures that provided me with different perspectives. I reflected on the differences between Scottish and Australian healthcare systems. Show less
