Consult with GPs & Aged Care Facility staff, particularly in rural & remote areas, to provide Home Medicines Review, Residential Medication Management Review & Quality Use of Medicine services to their patients/ residents. Collaboration with all health care providers, which includes nurses, GPs, specialists, community pharmacists & allied health, is essential to ensure access to all benefits our healthcare system provides. Helping consumers to become more informed about and to better manage their health and medications is paramount to improve health outcomes. This is rewarding as a health professional. Being welcomed into people's homes to assist in this way is a privilege. Working closely with GPs & consumers is essential for best practice care and good patient outcomes.

I began as a conjoint lecturer for medical & pharmacy students teaching pharmacology & pharmacy practice. This was part of a study into inter-professional education, which ran for 2 years. I now provide services to the Clinical School as a marker of rural placement assignments that students produce in their 3rd year of studies.
