  Covance (formerly Hazleton Labs) is a Contract Research Organization. I began my career in the lab as a Chemist conducting Environmental Fate studies of radiolabeled test substances in soil and water systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and EPA regulations. Later I became a Quality Assurance Auditor. In this position, I verified compliance with SOPs and EPA/FDA regulations via protocol, data, report, laboratory and archival inspections. Then I became a Study Coordinator, where I worked closely with study directors, chemists, clients, financial staff and auditors from study start through completion. In this position, I maintained communication between team members, drafted and maintained study documents, tracked timelines, and ensured compliance with financial and regulatory requirements from protocol through submission of final report to EPA or FDA.
