The primary function of my job is to oversee approximately 17 processing technicians. I meet with each of my direct reports on a regular basis to discuss their development and areas for opportunity. Additionally, I assist with managing the workflow of the backend operations. I am also the subject matter expert for our processing system and I am heavily involved in the upgrades to our systems. Over 2015, I was able to pilot a National Pharmacy Technician certification program with the assistance of peers throughout Express Scripts.

I began learning more extensive detail surrounding our processing system. I was entrusted to train all of our new employees and create the sufficient documents for them to resource.

I began working for Freedom in 2015. At first one of my duties was pulling the medications for the specific orders. Over time, I learned how to enter patient demographics and the many kinds of fertility medication. In conjunction, I learned how to adjudicate claims for versions PBM across the United States. As I became more knowledgeable of that area, I started to learn more about medical benefits, prior authorizations, and medical billing. I was in contact with insurance companies, doctors offices, and patients on a daily basis.
