I managed a single physician Dermatology Practice with seven employees. Management of a small practice demands great flexibility and the ability to cover for any position within the practice when needed. Responsibilities included oversight of the physician and PA schedules, supervising employees, accounts payable, payroll, scheduling appointments, insurance billing, collections, patient billing, CLIA oversight, ordering of supplies, marketing, sales and other duties as needed. I began working at this practice as a receptionist and quickly moved to the billing manager position based on my past experience. In 2012, with the retirement of our bookkeeper, I assumed the responsibilities of accounts payable, payroll and 401K oversight.
