Bio
Rebecca Wellington, PhD
I had the privilege of team teaching with Chrissy at The Annie Wright Schools. Working with Chrissy was one of the most positive, efficacious and rewarding team-teaching experiences I have had in my teaching career. Chrissy is enjoyable and inspiring to work with. Through my years working with Chrissy, and knowing her personally, I have been continually inspired by her steadfast commitment to social justice, equity and community. She brings quiet, reliable and approachable leadership to this commitment and colleagues consistently turn to her for guidance and mentorship. Chrissy also brings an unwavering work ethic to all of her commitments. Chrissy is, unquestionably, a gift to the institutions she works with.

Here's the most important thing I would want anyone to understand about Chrissy: She will make you and everyone around her feel better about themselves. Chrissy is the consummate team-player, someone who notices the little things and has the ability to act on what she notices. She will be the member on your team who gives everyone that little extra nudge they need at just the moment they need it. She has the amazing ability to be sensitive and funny at the same time. Stephen Covey identified one of the 7 Habits of Effective People as "Synergy." When he came up with that concept, he could easily have been thinking about Chrissy Wakeling. When you want to bring out the best in people, you want to have a person like Chrissy on your team. I offer her my highest endorsement!
