Includes working collaboratively with project partners and subcontractors, scheduling and coordinating workgroup meetings, and ensuring communication between leadership teams, DMAS divisions, and internal and external workgroups. • Preparing all technical reports, studies and presentation materials for varied audiences related to grant projects.• Responsible for monitoring key deliverables throughout the life-cycle of the grant and keeping Grant Manager and relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and milestones.• Assists Grant Manager in providing consultative services and technical assistance to providers as well as assisting with managing the tracking and reporting of grant outcomes to CMS. • Projects worked on:o DMAS Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Policy Innovations Program (PIP) National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) Grant to expand Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for pregnant and postpartum individuals. Participated in stakeholder meetings, data collection, focus group document creation and coordination. o SUPPORT Grant Justice Involved Re-Entry Demonstration Project to design, implement, and evaluate a Reentry Initiative Pilot in order to create a statewide Re-Entry Plan focused on facilitating Medicaid enrollment and connection to community-based SUD treatment and recovery services.

2019 Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS)- Behavioral Health Division- Addiction and Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) Policy Analyst Worked with the DMAS team to implement the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid SUPPORT Act Grant that was awarded to Virginia in September 2019 to increase substance use treatment (SUD) provider capacity around the state. Tasks included writing job descriptions for grant-funded positions, writing requests for proposals for soliciting contract work, creating work plans, organizing stakeholder meetings and research topics related to SUD and hepatitis C treatment best practices.
