  Topics: European Integration and EU Policy Instruments, Counter-terrorism, Justice and Home Affairs, Foreign and Security Policy My dissertation is on the topic "The evolution of EU counter-terrorism after the terrorist attacks of 2015-2016 – focus on information-sharing and cooperation in law enforcement and intelligence", supervised by Prof. Maura Conway. I’m researching the institutional design of the EU’s counter-terrorism policy and I’m investigating the inter-institutional linkages, the coordination mechanisms available, the legislative and logistical measures put in place by the EU in aid of national counter-terrorism efforts, specifically but not limited to the domains of intelligence and police cooperation. I’m examining their effectiveness and adapted appropriateness in facilitating information-sharing, promoting policy coordination and enabling operational cooperation between member states. In particular, I am interested in how those have been adapted after 2015, with the changed political impetus of cooperation, and how the dynamics of EU cooperation have changed. Show less
