As a Development intern with FringeArts Philadelphia, I worked closely with the Development team to ensure that donors' needs were being met and relationships were being maintained. Besides creating content that was used for solicitation or to acknowledge our current donors, I spent much of my time working on individual projects that included prospecting potential donors, research on current donors, and creating stewardship reports that are used to show the impact of FringeArts. I used Salesforce daily to record data about our sales/donations and cross-checked information about donors to ensure reports that were pulled were accurate and precise. Show less

Intern
-
Mar 2018 - Jul 2018
At AileyCamp Baltimore, I was given the title of Administrative Intern, as well as Group Leader. As an Administrative Intern, I served as the middleman between the campers, parents, and camp director. Leading up to the start of the program, myself and the other intern, were required to assemble and organize all necessary documentation that the campers needed, build relationships with the local Food Bank and other donors, and enhance all aspects of AileyCamp's social media. As a growing nonprofit organization, I was challenged by my supervisor to create a social media platform that would gain us publicity and catch the attention of potential donors. I was also mentored in writing letters to current donors, thanking them for their contributions, as well as planning an event to bring the community of AileyCamp donors together. Show less

Teaching Assistant
-
Aug 2017 - Nov 2017
Working as a teaching assistant for the Baltimore Youth Film Arts Program challenged my creative instinct and ability to help others find their artistic voice. I was privileged enough to work alongside one of Towson University's ballet professors, Susan Mann, and her husband, film professor at Johns Hopkins, John Mann. Together, we led a class that introduced movement for the camera. In this position, I worked with five students who had an interest in film and editing. None of the students had any intention of being in front of the camera, or moving for the camera. It was my job to get these students to move their bodies and create movement on themselves that would be filmed for their final projects. This job was very successful for me because I was able to get all of the students comfortable in their own body and help them find their artistic voice in a situation that may have been uncomfortable for them. Orientation Leader

Mar 2017 - Sep 2017
As an Orientation Leader, I learned the importance of customer service. Every work day was different and I was forced to think quickly and problem solve on our very busy days. With three hundred incoming freshmen and transfer students coming into Towson everyday, I would public speak, answer questions, and lead a group of students around campus, making them feel comfortable and confident during their transition to the school.
