I have known Christina for over 15 years and can say that without any doubt she is one of the most conscientious and dedicated professionals I have had the pleasure to work with. Christina was one of the first members of the Marketing a Week sales team to welcome me when I joined the magazine. Straight away Christina gave me an insight into the workings of display sales which proved to be invaluable to me for the years to come. Her ability to communicate on all levels together with her patient understanding of each individual advertising requirements makes her truly unique.       I lead the vision and am responsible for sales, marketing, content and much of the logistics planning of the UK's premier ornamental horticulture trade show. I represent Four Oaks in the media and at events in the UK and overseas. The trade show attracts more than 320 exhibitors from around the World and includes an important conference programme. New plant introductions from all the top growers and extensive innovation across products and services make the event a must-attend for thousands of visitors. Around 40% of exhibitors come from overseas, meaning Four Oaks is the UK's premier international horticultural marketplace for the trade. Plants form the heart of the show and the range on display is unrivalled. Associated products and services cover production to point-of-sale, including landscape and garden design. The strongest retail categories include pots and planters, garden ornaments, growing media, Christmas trees, & sundries. Production machinery/ equipment & services, labelling, EPoS, & professional services are well represented too. You can find most things that a garden retailer, nursery, landscaper, garden designer, local authority, professional horticulturalist/gardener could want to use or re-sell.       After spending several years campaigning for access to medicines for my son who has cystic fibrosis (CF), I became aware that carers of people with CF had no representation within the healthcare establishments in the UK. I began advocating for individuals and then set up a voluntary group called CF Voices with likeminded parents. We set out to understand the role of CF carers further through research and to represent this to NHSE, clinicians and NICE (drug appraisal body). We have given a voice to a previously unheard group of people who work tirelessly every day and often under great mental, physical and financial strain to care for and protect their loved ones. CF is an incurable, progressive, life-threatening genetic condition that affects the whole body, but in particular the lungs, digestive system, liver and bones.
