Animal Care Technician
-
Aug 1998 - Aug 2000
In my role of Animal care technician in Trent’s Animal Care facility I helped to care for animals used for academic research. While monitoring the health and caring for the animals was the main focus of our work the facility managed all the research protocols involving animals. Additional roles involved teaching students and faculty about animal care techniques and protocol, we helped researchers learn common research methods used for animal research, and we helped in courses who included experiential opportunities working hands on with animals.
