In my 20's I had the honor and privilege of working for The Children's Center as a behavioral therapist. This career choice was very rewarding, emotionally challenging & then enriching to see the success in a child that had years of struggling times. Here I fostered & facilitated the growth in a child's life through appropriate communication, social skills/boundaries & provided a safe environment in which a child that suffered both emotionally, physically, & behaviorally could learn to deal with their circumstances on a daily basis. These life skills in which they learned were not just for themselves but also for me as a Therapist. In going forth in my other career choices in life this foundation for myself and in working with others both children & adults allowed me to work through situations that were not always ease to manage emotionally or quickly.~ This not only taught me patience but also allowed me to take things step by step to solve problems. I was a behavorial therpaist that worked with children between the ages of 3 t 7 years old. Show less
