My podcast is co-hosted by Josh Watkins, an Assistant Director and fellow rock music expert who has provided the on-set soundtrack to dozens of the world's leading feature films. - Earning 2.7 million YouTube views and 13k subscribers, a growing audience.

  I hosted, produced, directed, wrote and edited a documentary about feminism and women in rock. Synopsis: "What do musicians really think about women in rock and feminism?How have things changed and how haven't they in the worlds of punk rock and heavy metal? If feminism is about equality, what is the REAL shared experience of 99% of rock bands right now? Host Christina Rowatt travels with Baltimore feminist hardcore punk band War On Women to the Australian Download Festival to explore a musician's eye perspective of women in rock, the riot girl movement and how the hardcore scene and heavy metal world have evolved. Also features Boston hardcore icons Converge, Judas Priest touring guitarist / producer Andy Sneap, headliners Rise Against and Grammy winner Lzzy Hale of Halestorm (the only woman in history to win the Hard Rock Grammy Award)."

Soundwave Rock Festival TV: YouTube Channel

  I produced, hosted and edited an interview-based backstage YouTube channel across four annual East Coast festival tours for Australia's biggest rock/metal/punk music festival. As the only camera crew allowed backstage, my camera team and 24 hour edit crew followed as I interviewed the bands throughout the tour, from vox pops at the airport to straight off the main stage. Achievements: - Interviewing 100+ artists including headliners like Slayer, Slipknot, Primus, Mastodon, GWAR, Rob Zombie, Testament (and a painting adventure with Bam Margera of Jackass and his brother's band CKY). - Earning 5 million views & 12,000 views on YouTube. - Building the crew from myself as sole host, editor and producer with one cameraman to a 10 person East Coast camera / edit crew who produced an enormous volume of high-quality music content on the road. Output on our final year was 38 videos in a 10 day period. - Sponsors including Deezer, Spotify and Sonos home sound systems. Key Achievements

  Over five years, I worked in radio and television as an award-winning full-time online video producer, music/sports journalist, digital content producer and video stream producer. At rock radio station Triple M, I produced/edited all online video content for the Triple M Breakfast & Drive show. I also produced a high volume of music news and sports news. Prior to this role, I produced music content for the youth-based Channel [V] music TV station and their sister music channel, MAX. I also hosted, produced and edited a late night / digital music program (Metal on [V]) dedicated to rock music, featuring high-profile international rock artists. Key achievements: Triple M: - Winning “Best Multimedia Execution” at the 2011 ACRA Awards for the “Legends of Origin” digital content campaign and live video co-stream with FOX Sports. - Producing a 12-hour live stream (the first in SCA history) for the Channel 7 "Lost" finale; a content collaboration between Channel 7 & the Triple M breakfast show. - Increasing traffic to the Triple M website 80% over my tenure thanks to fast-paced music and sports news coverage, quality expert-led video content and solid SEO. Channel [V]: - Working with record labels, artist managers and publishers to generate original content and news exclusives. Interviewing 100+ artists via telephone and on-camera. - Creating sponsored online destinations for music festivals and my rock music program. - Travelling to create video, editorial and photographic content at festivals including Big Day Out and Splendour in the Grass. - Independently writing, hosting, producing and editing an online / late night music program featuring my interviews and artist-hosted music video programs that aired late night and earned a cult following amongst the world's most devoted music audience.
