Very happy to recommend Christina to anyone who is struggling to make heads and tails of the resources available in and to our community. It's a rare pleasure to work with a Social Service Worker and Consultant with such high standards of excellence of professionalism and care, who doesn't just does her 'job' but does everything with 100% heart. She's tenacious and resourceful and looks into every detail to ensure everyone who comes to her looking for help, gets that plus much more. I recommend those who don't know how to navigate the many nuances of the bureaucratic process, feel lost and hopeless that they're alone- reach out to Christina! Hire her, because we all need an ally like her on our side!

Christina was a student at the time, who demonstrated initiative and professionalism at all times.

What is the ParaCor Initiative? The ParaCor Initiative is a pilot project which has the purpose of providing disability/accessibility information on community organizations, training, health and local events. The Mission of this Initiative? It is hoped that with the information that is provided will assist persons with disabilities to become more active in life; be that they participate in disability related recreational and/or competitive sports; or events, fundraisers and festivals. We also hope that the training section will enable them to better themselves through life coaching; skills training; and workshops - and in effect increase their employability. Lastly we hope that by showcasing community organizations we can increase the visibility to services that either provide assistance to persons with disabilities, or organizations that are pioneers in the area of disability (by breaking down barriers; increasing inclusion (etc.)) in an effort to promote the good that is being done by these organizations and corporations in the community. The ParaCor Initiatives Vision? Our vision for the ParaCor Community is to expand the reach of the services visualized to other cities, provinces and territories in the coming years; adding additional information avenues; and possibly developing mobile tools to increase the flow of information to those who need it. We are also hope to be apart of the massive migration of our world from the traditional notions, and stigmas attached to persons with disabilities to a Canada that understands, includes and is fully sensitive to the needs of those with alternative abilities.
