  My responsibilities include teaching 7-8 courses on an 8 period block schedule (A/B). Over the course of the past 15 years I have taught American Government, Economics, World History (Modern and Ancient), American History, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, and American History Honors.I have also worked as the A+ Credit Recovery Program Coordinator for 5 years. In addition, I was tasked with creating two new CTE programs regarding Public Safety. I have instituted guest speakers, CPR training and certification, and CERT training with my Criminal Justice curriculum. I also created a class for Emergency Telecommunications and wrote successful grant applications in excess of $50,000.00.Over the past several years, I have worked closely with the Nevada Department of Education to create standards for Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Telecommunications. My duties included writing standards, creating state tests to assess those standards, completing the item analysis for those tests, setting cut scores, and piloting the tests. Show less
