Clara Mancini
In 2020-21, Christina studied The Open University's module that I chair on Interaction Design and the User Experience. She was an outstanding student, and demonstrated a strong grasp of UX concepts and methods, which she applied to great effect in her project work. As a result of her talent and dedication, she achieved the highest-ranking results out of a cohort of 240 students, which is a tremendous achievement and so well deserved. Christina's interaction design competence will be a great asset in any professional setting that requires UX skills.

Creator, Developer and Manager of small humans
-
2009 - Jan 2022
A most challenging role requiring an inhuman tolerance for pain, infinite patience including a willingness to wait years to see even the remotest results and an acceptance that rewards are limited to essentially observing that the small humans actually function as prescribed. Thankfully, there is a great joy in seeing the humans smile, laugh and they are marvellous at at art of hugging. It is a role that requires constant modification and updating of working plans as both external forces and the internal development within the humans change the working parameters. Though it is a project I have greatly enjoyed developing, observing and being a part of for over ten years, I feel the humans have now reached a point where they are suitably mobile, independent, autonomous and intelligent, and I am ready to hand the project on to a team of other fully competent managers should a new opportunity present itself. Assistant Buyer
-
Oct 2006 - Aug 2008
I was responsible for researching and forecasting trends for the company, and, together with the main buyer I used the research to develop and design each season's collection. My job also included completing order forms, continuously checking and updating our season plans, correcting the approvals and measurement tables, and liaising with our suppliers in China and India to ensure everything was correct and delivered on time. I had responsibility for the administrative side of our London office. As well as the day-to- day admin I also set up our office, which included finding and negotiating for the space and furnishing it. Show less
