  Synthesized transition metal oxides and sulfides for application in lithium - ion batteries. Characterized electrode materials using XRD, ICP - OES, Raman spectroscopy and XAS techniques. Prepared coin cells, pouch cells, and t - cells to test electrochemical performance using a battery tester and a potentiostat. Electrochemical techniques include galvanostatic intermittent titration (GITT), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), galvanostatic cycling, and cyclic voltammetry (CV).
