Sarah Slates, PhD, LSW
Christina brings standout enthusiasm and creativity to her work supporting graduate students. I worked with Christina as she served in multiple student support services related roles including as writing coach and facilitator in our first-year experience program, CONNECT. She is passionate about engaging students around topics related to anti-racism and social justice which are critical for developing social workers. Christina used innovative pedagogical strategies to engage students, and students appreciated not just her approach but her approachability as a facilitator. She was incredibly collaborative, sharing ideas and resources with other facilitators in the program. I highly recommend Christina for teaching and facilitation roles as well as student support services more generally.
Rebecca Brooks, MBA
Christina was one of my repeat volunteers prior to joining the Peace Corps and she stands out due to her passion to invest in others. As a volunteer at JA, I watched her mentor and inspire young students to see their potential and connect to their futures. Since I first met her in college, she has demonstrated a unique ability to relate to other people seamlessly and instantaneously. She is able to spark connectivity, particularly within diverse groups of people, adapting quickly to the demands of any environment. She is highly motivated to achieve her goals and always organized & dedicated in her path to success. She is a compassionate and natural leader who will undoubtedly be successful in whatever path she chooses.
