I would either scan the paper charts into my company laptop or have access the the Dr. office's EMR system then I would transfer the information to the company laptop and upload the information to the company to complete the audit process. I have worked with multiple EMR systems such as Epic, EClinical Works, Medent and others. I was also trained and worked on the HEDIS projects in 2013 and 2014. I went into medical offices and collected the data from the offices and entered it into the company laptop. I worked closely with the medical offices during this time. I would also QA the medical records once they were received from other offices to make sure that we had the correct patient, DOB, dates of service, and that the information was legible. If not then I would document it and then send it back to the Imaging Department. I would travel all over the state of Oregon and any other states that the company required.
